“I’ve never been to

church before.

What can I expect?”

You will be greeted at the door by smiling faces and kind hearts. No need to be nervous! Worship begins at 9 and any of our members would be happy to show you where to go! Worship at Northside is inviting and casual. We are a big happy family and will be dressed casually. Our service will consist of moments of prayer, congregational worship, communion and dynamic teaching. You won’t be singled out in any way, and will likely be greeted with a warm hug and hello.

“Do you have a place for

my kids?”

We have a wonderful Youth ministry and Children’s ministry that can provide ample teaching and fellowship opportunities for your family. There is a children’s worship during service for ages 3-5 and a nursery that is available for your use during worship. Check out our Youth and Kids pages.

“I’ve noticed that your

worship is only singing,

why Don’t you use

guitars and instruments?”

Great question! Northside embraces an all acappella congregational singing. While we don’t believe that the use of instruments is wrong, we find immense beauty and unity in an all acappella worship. The blending of voices is unlike any other. If you don’t feel comfortable singing, feel free to simply listen and worship where you are.

“I’m new. Am I allowed

to take communion?”

No one monitors who does and doesn’t take communion. You’ll also hear it referred to as the Lord’s Supper from time to time. Scripture teaches that it is a time of remembrance for those who have entered in to a covenant with Christ. For us, it’s a time of togetherness while remembering the mercy and grace that Jesus poured out through the sacrifice he made on the cross. With that in mind, feel free to commune with us if you so desire but if not, no problem!

“How do I learn more?”

Our lobby will be full of guest ministry members who would love to give you some information about our church. Depending on your needs (prayer, children’s classes, etc) they can put you in touch with the minister over those areas. You are also always encouraged to contact our staff if you have any other questions.
